2 Chapter Labor Law

    • Overview of working environment

Morocco has made considerable economic and development progress in the past 15 years but according to the world bank Morocco has three key challenges on labor market, such as lack of inclusion, slow job growth and low quality of jobs since informality dominates the labor market.

This results in a misallocation and under-utilization of the labor, which prevents the economy from reaching its potential. The Government launched multiple initiatives to promote employment like The National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) launched its 2020 Vision in 2015 to expand the agency’s coverage to also include unqualified job seekers.

The Government must invest in infrastructure, human capital and other social and economic factors necessary for job creation.
